No Asylum

A feature length documentary film project, in process, tracing the rise of anti-immigrant sentiment in the US from 1990’s immigration waves to the present global migration crisis. As well, the film traces the negative impact upon the displaced resulting from post-9/11/01 asylum policies, revealing the precarious existence of asylum-seekers who receive no federal aid or support as they process their claims over many months. The film highlights the crucial role of NGOs and church groups who work tirelessly to provide basic supports to asylum seekers.
